FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

and Other Questions Clients Ask...

HOW CAN COACHING HELP ME?

How do I know if I need Coaching or Therapy first?

Therapy is focused on healing. Therapists are trained professionals who can diagnose and treat mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma or relational breakdown etc.). They often look at both the past and present, helping you understand the roots of challenges and build new patterns for healthier living. Coaching doesn’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, coaches partner with you to clarify your goals, identify obstacles, and create practical strategies for moving forward. Coaching is about the present and future, helping you step into momentum and live more intentionally.

Do you offer payment plans or alternative payment methods?

Chayah accepts payments via our online booking system using Stripe. Stripe accept all major debit and credit cards. Afterpay is also available*.

*Minimum spend of $250 applies.

How are the sessions conducted?

Chayah services are offered via Zoom and can be booked from any timezone (our booking system will show you appointment times available in your chosen timezone).

In person meetings may be negotiated on an individual basis, at Chayah's discretion.
*additional charges may apply to cover travel expenses.

We are located in Brisbane, Australia.

Is there a no-obligation consultation?

Chayah does not currently offer a free consultation for our Coaching services. We do however, encourage you to reach out to the friendly team with any questions that you may have as we have a thorough intake process and will be able to advise you if we do not think our services are suitable for what you are looking for.

How do I book a session/package?

Click the 'Enquire Now' buttons underneath our Services.

Alternatively, head over to our Contact page and either send us an email or fill in the form with your particular enquiry and we will be in contact with you within 1-2 business days.

Can I have therapy and coaching at the same time?

Yes - sometimes you may benefit from both. You may need therapy to heal, and coaching to help you grow beyond that healing. Both are about supporting you to live more fully, with purpose and hope. However, it is worth bearing in mind that each will require a lot of mental work and it may work better to start with one area at a time and focus on it.

Do you provide therapy as well as coaching?

While some of our coaches are qualified therapists, the focus of our business is coaching, so we would not provide therapy. We would be happy to recommend some places to start if you were looking for therapists.

How do I know if your service will be a good fit for me?

Have a thorough read of our website - we have a lot of information about who we are and what we do there. It will give you a good idea of whether we will be the right fit for you. Reach out to our team with any questions you still might have, and we will do our best to answer them.

If I book a package, how long do I have to use it?

When you book a package of 6 coaching sessions or book a small business coaching package of 8 sessions, you will have 6 months from the date of purchase in which to use them.

How frequently should I have a coaching session?

Research tells us that having regular and consistent sessions of coaching will lead to significantly greater results for the client. It enhances momentum and allows for timely application of insights. Our small business coaching is suited to weekly or fortnightly sessions (depending on your goals and needs) and our coaching is suited to weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions (again dependent on your goals and needs).

Can I have a one-off coaching session?

Yes! Sometimes a single session can be just what you need to help you get unstuck and move you forward. However remember that coaching is relational and therefore working with a coach over a period of time, where trust is established and relationship is built can be even more useful.
(*not for small business coaching until the initial package is completed).
